Ashten was the winner of my Beauty Revived giveaway!  I’m so excited to finally have photographed this beautiful girl and to be able to share her photos here.

What is Beauty Revived?

What is the Beauty Revived’s Mission Statement?
To uplift, inspire and empower photographers of faith and integrity to shed light on the good, the strong and the beautiful.

From Kim, Ashten’s mom
“I would like to nominate my daughter, Ashten Cabe. She will be a senior at Heritage High, graduating in 2016. Ashten is a varsity football/competition cheerleader, Junior Class President, member of Partners Club, secretary of FCCLA, & member of FBLA. But none of those are her biggest accomplishments. Beginning when she was two years old and over the next six years, Ashten lost five of her close family members. Death was something she had to learn about too early in life. Ashten has never acted as if she was cheated in life even though she was growing up without these significant influences in her life. During her freshman year at HHS, Ashten went out of her way to become friends with A boy named Logan. Logan has autism. Before becoming friends with Ashten, Logan was quiet & definitely would not talk to a girl. Logan & Ashten became BFFs. It is amazing to Logan’s mom how Logan has come out of his shell over the last two and half years. Ashten ate lunch with him almost every day, introduced him to her friends, and tried to help him socialize with other students. Last year, she convinced him to be in the Prom Fashion Show. And this year, she convinced him to put on a cheer skirt & hair bow to he a powder puff cheerleader. Being friends with Logan has required her to put her own teenage life on the back burner a lot. But no one could be more proud than Ashten to see the difference in a boy who barely talked a couple of years ago & now become a guy who has never met a stranger. I don’t know many high school girls who would take the time to become a true friend to a special needs boy. This is why I think Ashten should be considered for the Senior Session Giveaway. Thank you for the opportunity to brag on my daughter.”
